Tucker Carlson is Wrong: Putin Practices Religious Persecution, Not Zelensky
Carlson claims that Zelensky has “banned the Christian faith in his country.” In reality, the Russians are persecuting and torturing believers in Ukraine. Tucker's words are making it easier for them.
Tucker Carlson’s willingness to parrot Putin’s talking points is why he is a favorite on Kremlin propaganda TV shows. But make no mistake, what he is saying is perpetuating the persecution of both Orthodox and Protestant Christians in Ukraine.
Last week, I was honored to have an op-ed I co-authored with my friend and respected conservative activist Tim Chapman debunking Carlson’s claims placed in the prominent Christian journal Providence Magazine. Providence believes in the moral and geopolitical imperative of American leadership against totalitarian aggression and that Christians have a special duty to interpret America’s vocation in the world today.
Providence is a great forum for Tim and me to push back on Tucker Carlson’s claims that Christians are being persecuted by Zelensky’s government in Ukraine.
This piece is not just an important read for Christians, it is important to anyone who admires the truth.
