POLL: Tucker Carlson & Joe Rogan Promote the Kremlin Line
A Ukraine Freedom Project poll of Republican primary voters show that almost a quarter believe that Russia promotes family values, and that information is coming from conservative news personalities.
Poll Brief: Russian Propaganda Among Republican Voters -
Russia Promotes Family Values
According to polling from the Ukraine Freedom Project, twenty-four percent of Republican primary voters agree with the statement “Russia is a country that promotes and encourages traditional family values.”
Russia is a country that uses rape as a weapon of war. Russian leaders boast about kidnapping more than 700,000 Ukrainian children. Russia has shut down every church in occupied Ukraine that is not affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church. Millions of believers in occupied Ukraine are forced to worship underground under threat of torture and imprisonment.
Even looking at this through the American lens of family values, Putin has outlined a classic pro-choice position.
Clearly, the idea that Russia promotes and encourages traditional family values is a false narrative.
American Foreign Policy Council research indicates that Russia spends as much as $2.4 billion worldwide on propaganda. Much of that is spent on the United States.
Ukraine Freedom Project polling from April 2024, the week after the Ukraine aid bill passed, shows Russian propagandists are targeting young men who vote Republican.
We surveyed Republican primary voters between April 22nd and 25th, the week after the most recent aid package for Ukraine passed the House of Representatives.
Republican voters aged 18-44 are the most likely demographic group to agree with this statement, with 37% in agreement. With a mean of 24%, this age group is more than half again more likely to believe that Russia is a country that promotes and encourages traditional family values. The polling skews male, as 34% of men aged 18-64 in agreement with this statement – ten points above the mean. Only 25% of women in that age range agree with that statement.
It is not hard to pinpoint the sources of this propaganda.
Those who get their news from Joe Rogan are 47% in agreement, almost twice the mean of 24%.
Tucker Carlson’s viewers agree at the rate of 38%.
Those who get their news from Candace Owens agree at a rate of 36%.
Republicans who have a favorable image of Marjorie Taylor Greene are 32% in agreement.
Carlson, Owens and MTG are well known for spreading Russian propaganda about religion. I don’t watch Rogan enough to know whether it is him spreading the propaganda, his guests who may have little regard for the truth or if there is a correlation between Republican voters who get their news from Joe Rogan and their Russian propaganda from elsewhere.
Those who have an unfavorable opinion of Speaker Johnson, who was an activist for the Baptist Church prior to joining Congress, agree that Russia promotes family values at 34%. This is not surprising given the leadership role that Johnson played in passing aid to Ukraine.
Perhaps indicating the degree to which our adversaries are working together, users of TikTok believe at the rate of 35%, almost a third more than the mean.
Oddly enough, Snapchat users agree at the rate of 36%.
Viewers of One America News think Russia promotes family values at 33%, nine points above the mean of 24%.
Viewers of the much-maligned Fox News don’t diverge from the mean. Twenty-four percent of Fox News watchers agree that Russia promotes family values, the same rate as all Republican voters.
Viewers of the pro-Trump network NewsMax only agree at the rate of 19%, five points below the mean, among the least likely of any subgroup to agree. From our experience, NewsMax correspondents in Ukraine depict an accurate view of Russia’s war on Ukraine. Anecdotally, Shelby Wilder is a good friend and a classic war correspondent in the mold of Edward R. Murrow. She is not afraid of going to the front to get the story right.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: “Russia is a country that promotes and encourages traditional family values.”
How to read this chart: The “Total Agree” column is a percentage of each subgroup of voters surveyed that agree with the statement “Russia is a country that promotes and encourages traditional family values.” The percent of all voters surveyed who agree with that statement is 24%. The column labeled “Above/Below the Mean” ind
icates the number of percentage points each subgroups deviates from the mean.
The Ukraine Freedom Project commissioned this survey from the respected Republican polling firm Public Opinion Strategies with n=600 likely GOP primary voters nationwide. The survey was fielded April 22-25, two days after the Ukraine aid bill passed the House of Representatives. It has a credibility interval of +4.0%.

I strongly dislike Tucker Carlson.
Tucker Carlson = Russian shill.
During his so called “interview” with the dictator Putin, he looked like a bewildered high school history student during Putin’s twisted history lesson. Giggling like a child at times.
