Charlie Kirk
I had the honor of speaking at Turning Point USA's Faith Forward pastors summit last month. Even after years in a war zone, I find Charlie Kirk's assassination saddening and mind-boggling.
I never met Charlie Kirk, but I had the honor of speaking at his event in Los Angeles last month. My team from A Faith Under Siege was treated incredibly well by his staff and welcomed by 500 conservative pastors who listened intently about what we had to say about Ukraine, although they may not have initially agreed with us.
We screened a two minute clip from A Faith Under Siege and I spoke on stage for about five minutes.
My experience of Charlie, his organization and his followers is that they were kind, respectful, professional and well-mannered.
Whoever murdered him likely only experienced the shrill social media caricature of him.
His death will have a lasting impact on political dialogue in the USA. I would like to think that it may make the hateful on all sides take a step back and think about how to engage positively with people with whom they don’t agree with respect.
I would really like to believe that.
Beautiful. Well said. Thank you
Amen, brother.
